Labour Councillor for Forest

I have strong links with the local community, having volunteered, worked and lived in Waltham Forest for around 24 years. I have campaigned for equality and to protect the rights of women and girls. I have encouraged and supported community projects to minimise isolation and loneliness for older people, to improve social cohesion in the community, improve the health and wellbeing of residents, etc. I have worked for a safer community, a better environment and infrastructure and for a better standard of living for children, young people and people of all ages. Being a mother and a wife enables me to understand the concerns and problems that families face. I will continue to be a community champion and be a voice for the residents of all backgrounds and local businesses.
