Shabana has lived her whole life in Waltham Forest and went to local schools, so she truly understand the needs, strengths and spirit of our community. Her lived experience, along with years of working with local people, helps her connect, listen and act in a way that reflects real-life concerns. As a Labour councillor since 2010 and representing Lea Bridge Ward since 2022, she’s built strong relationships with residents, grassroots groups and faith communities. She is passionate about fairness, inclusion and making sure every voice is heard, and that’s what makes her a strong, reliable and community focused councillor for Lea Bridge.
