Grace Williams
Labour Councillor for William Morris and Leader of the Council
Grace has lived in Waltham Forest for over 20 years, growing up not far away in southeast London, canvassing for Labour from the age of 5! She has dedicated her life to public service, as a civil servant working on ending child poverty and then as an English teacher in East London schools. Grace's role as a local community organiser in the William Morris ward and as a parent brought her into local politics in 2014. She has served as Cabinet member for children, young people and has been Leader of the Council since 2021, pioneering a mission-based way of working in the borough to tackle our toughest challenges and address the inequality that holds our borough back. She is also the Deputy Chair for London Councils.
